Today was half price at the Fort Worth Zoo and so we took advantage of it! It was a little rainy, but a whole lot cooler than it has been. The only thing is that it was very, very humid! I would take the humidity over the 100+ degree temperature though! This is Ian at the elephant exhibit. Elephants are Ian's (and Gigi's) favorite.
This is the day we have all been dreading! Jeff starts his new job bright and early tomorrow morning! So today was the day we had to say goodbye! He is staying with friends in Georgetown! Ian helped Daddy pack his bags, clean out the car, load the car up, and even helped him close the door when he got in. Here Ian is waving "bye-bye" to Daddy! We were all very sad, but Daddy promised to come back every weekend! My mom is coming during the middle of the week to help me out with the kids! Here's to the start of a (hopefully) wonderful, new adventure!
So all four offers on four separate houses have fallen through! So when we got word that a house that we LOVED was back on the market, we literally dropped everything and hauled our booties to Hutto to look at it and put an offer on it. Fifth time's the charm...right? This is Hazel driving while we were waiting on Shirley, our realtor!
We have had a full weekend and a full house! My parents were here early this weekend watching Ian while we went down to Austin, then my Dad left and my sister and her boyfriend came up to go to a concert. Now my mom left with Ian and Victoria and Marcus are still here. So we all went out to lunch with Dana, JR and all the kids. Here is Jeff and JR with their baby girls...what goof balls!
Today was David and Goliath day! Ian insisted that Gigi read the story of David and Goliath over and over and over! He would laugh when Saul's armor is too big for David, point to his forehead when Goliath gets hit with the rock and raise his arms when Saul's army rejoiced in defeating the Philistines. I love that he loves reading Bible stories. This was definitely a proud mommy moment!
Here is Hazel dressed in her Sunday best! This is a dress that my Aunt Patti (or her "Aunt Mimi" as Ian and Hazel call her because she is the same generation as their grandparents...ok, so it made sense to us!) My mom and sister went to visit them and brought back this dress! Isn't it ADORABLE! (The baby wearing the dresses is pretty cute too!)
Since before she could sit up, before she could really see everything on the TV, Hazel has been engrossed in Texas Rangers baseball! This makes for such a proud mommy! Her love of baseball might have something to do with my UBER obsession with the World Series last year because my two favorite teams played each other in the BEST WORLD SERIES EVER!
